Job Description

CNGSwitch are looking to recruit a Renewals & Acquisition Specialist to join their expanding team and help take the business to the next level.

Reporting into the Head of Energy, the main purpose of the role is to renew the existing client book at a conversion of 80%, maximising each client by identifying additional opportunities and services, contributing to company growth, and increasing brand awareness.

Successful sales in this role are largely generated through renewing the existing client gas and electric contracts and establishing further site opportunities, and other services in energy and merchant services.

The ideal candidate will therefore need to be confident in their relationship building and sales ability.

This role is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious, pro-active, and experienced sales candidate with excellent organisational skills.

Key duties of the Renewal and Acquisition Specialist:

  • Running and analysing gas and electric tenders
  • Ensuring renewals are actioned within SLA and process, aiming for 80%+ and above conversion
  • Responding to customer queries
  • Identifying market movement and using initiative to advise clients best time to renew in relation to their window
  • Develop and understanding of the market and competitor activity
  • Negotiate and close renewal clients
  • Maximise client base by identifying additional services and other products
  • Manage and develop relationships through first class relationship building experience
  • Utilise contacts, networking, and referrals to increase sales and client base
  • Working towards set revenue targets and KPI’s
  • Following business and system processes
  • Actively and accurately maintaining a CRM system
  • Associated sales administration and reporting
  • Ability to keep on top of workflow management and prioritise

Person Specification

The ideal candidate will have previous experience of working in a similar role, i.e. Business Development Executive, Sales Advisor, Telesales.

You will be able to clearly demonstrate how you have achieved set sales targets and KPI’s, negotiated and closed business deals and developed long lasting working relationships in past/current employment.  You will have excellent communication, listening and networking skills, both oral and written.

You will be self – motivated, tenacious and have good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.

Be able to operate within business parameters with an appreciation for process and accuracy.

Experience in energy is highly desirable but applications from outside this sector will be considered.
